The sister facility to The Front Climbing Club in SLC, Ogden is an equally impressive facility in its own right, being located in a stunning downtown historic building with challenging interior architecture. Similar to its SLC sister, Ogden opted to design and build a combination of ARC and MLM indoor climbing wall systems that utilize an existing open and airy layout in lieu of maximized climbing area. With that said, there are some very inventive spaces that distinguish the facility from the norm. Taking this design approach allowed the owners to create additional usable area in the form of a mezzanine on top of the climbing wall structure, which houses a large yoga loft and training facilities, both with incredible amounts of natural light.
The Front Climbing Club - Ogden, Utah: As you can see from this view, you get a great view of the indoor climbing within the gym well before you even step foot inside.
The Front Climbing Club - Ogden, Utah: Perhaps the best view of them all, this area was built for climbing in many ways, being nestled up against the Wasatch range. The entire exterior of this historic warehouse consists mainly of windows. Vertical Solutions designers were able to create a tremendous amount of climbing area centralized to the building’s floor plan, rather than being located along the exterior walls thereby blocking the view in from the outside. This creates an environment that is highly aesthetic, and also draws in foot and car traffic. In addition, this allows climbers inside to be reminded of where they are with tremendous views of the Utah mountains.
The Front Climbing Club - Ogden, Utah: This expansion by The Front Climbing Club to an adjacent building meant that Vertical Solutions could design a new MLM climbing wall addition to compliment the existing ARC system. As seen in this picture, our MLM walls can have the great textures and finishes that its ARC brother has.
The Front Climbing Club - Ogden, Utah: This MLM climbing wall and cave actually connects two opposing climbing walls and allows climbers to spread out on both sides of the facility. More importantly, the efficient design allows the space to remain open and airy with tons of natural light.
The Front Climbing Club - Ogden, Utah: Located in a fantastic downtown historic building, this indoor climbing gym utilizes an MLM-manufactured end-cap to join both opposing sides of the climbing facility. The cave here is deeper than it looks, but climbers have the security of Habit Flooring beneath them so they can session without worry of injury.
