Route flooring is important to get right in your facility just like your bounding floor system. The essential functionality is intended to protect heel strikes in case of a fall before attaining the first clip on lead. But you want it to have a clean aesthetic, while providing comfort for your partner belaying you below. Our route flooring is typically designed as a 2” closed cell system to hold up to high foot traffic, while also maintaining the ability to attenuate heel strike impacts. Have a need for something even more unique? This system can be also be ordered in a variety of thicknesses, colors and densities to best suit your specific application. Once installed, the route flooring is finished with our Invisi-Seam surface, as well as any optional add-ons such as our contour-matching anti-trip steel trim. In this view you can see how Vertical Solutions transitioned from geometric MLM panels to curved ARC designs to create a massive overhung lead climbing experience. This lead section is a centerpiece for the gym and stands out immediately to anyone who enters.

You can get a good idea of exactly how spacious this climbing gym is by looking at the separate areas lined up next to each other; route climbing areas on the left and directly closest to the camera, and then two bouldering areas beyond that.

While Crux Climbing Center in Austin doesn't focus on route climbing exclusively, they did opt to cover the whole lead and top-rope area in Habit route flooring so rope climbers can move around belay for a long time from any location within.
Standing in the middle of the gym, you can see the relationship between the entry/front desk, where it opens up into the route wall area, as well as one of the main bouldering areas above. Also prevalent is the gym logo front and center!

The route climbing walls here are plenty tall, distinctive and spread out, as seen from this second level heading up towards the bouldering walls.
Brooklyn Boulders in Somerville, MA has extremely tall lead climbing walls with some serious overhung areas. With such a large space, you can easily give your customers a comfy place to walk or socialize in between climbing.

When you have a big area to cover for your lead walls, it can be ultra-cost-effective to outfit all of your space with our route flooring, to reduce costs and labor involved with other more expensive floor finishing options.
Building a climbing community in Brooklyn is easier said than done when space is at a premium. Unlike the name suggests, the OG facility boasts thousands of route climbing square feet.

Big overhung route climbing areas like this one at Santa Fe Climbing Center, can easily be matched with our Habit Flooring route products to cover those areas without needing to shell out high dollars.
Even underneath a NYC high rise building, you will find lead and top-rope climbing at a Brooklyn Boulders location (Queensbridge shown here). As with all of their other locations, they chose to go with the Habit Flooring system for their route flooring for a clean and seamless aesthetic, as well as smooth transitions to the sealed concrete floor beneath.

Ground Up Climbing Centre in Squamish has a close relationship with Black Diamond, and as a result needed their facility to carry over branding that matched. This extended easily to include a custom colored Habit Flooring route system in black.
